Apsen Tree Management work hard to protect wildlife and the environment. Trees provide food, shelter and breeding sites for a wide variety of animals and insects.

Nesting birds are vulnerable through spring and early summer and bats use roosting sites throughout the year. Dead and rotten wood is crucial habitat for insects and invertebrates, a vital part of the food chain. These are important considerations when deciding whether to prune or fell a tree.

Wildlife boxes

We have many years experience with the installation of wildlife boxes. Working on large Highways Agency schemes, for companies and private individuals, we have installed various types of boxes for bats, dormice and birds, including owl and kestrel. All our boxes are designed and built locally or can be made to any design.
